“For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.” Ephesians 5:30
How closely connected are we to each other? As members of the body of Christ, we are vitally connected to Christ our Head, obviously. But our connection to other members of the body critical as well. We receive what we need from the Head, but often those needs run through other members of the body. When Christ ascended up on high, He gave gifts unto men; the gift of the ministry. Through that gift of the ministry, we are provided with all we need to honor our Head, to minister to others, to grow individually, and to grow collectively as the body.
