Communion and Baptism, the two ordinances of the church, provide us beautiful images of Christ. Through the gospel message, and these two ordinances, God has given us the pictures of Christ upon which to meditate. He would have us to remember Jesus by what he did – his love, his sacrifice, his compassion – not what he looked like.
